Is fast Internet really necessary for someone who just browses websites?

I see on TV all the time that Internet service providers are trying to upsell their clients and make them buy expensive packages that offer ridiculously fast Internet, but you pay for it through their pricing. To the average person who just browses websites and doesn’t do anything extensive on the Internet, are these expensive packages really worth the price? Believe it or not, a lot of this is just good marketing from the Internet providers and the package you currently have, or their lower packages that you could sign up for, will do just fine. Most people just browse the Internet do not need the fast speeds that ISPs are advertising in their commercials. Along with that, you probably do not use much bandwidth per month, and lower usage limits will do just fine as well. However, if you are a heavy watcher of videos online such as videos from places like YouTube, then you probably do use a lot of bandwidth and being on a heavier package with your eye as he is a good idea. Streaming content sucks up bandwidth like you probably wouldn’t believe, so don’t tank that just because you don’t work on your computer or do anything to complex other than watch videos, you don’t need more bandwidth limits than a regular person.

Since I was able to find a solid Verizon FIOS promo code I have been able to bundle my internet, television, and phone together which has made things quite convenient for me. You would not imagine how much easier it is when you only have one bill to pay for three different services each month.

Browsing websites such as craigslist, Amazon, or other online shopping places that the majority of us use day in and day out, is not very strenuous on your connection and does not use much bandwidth at all. With that being said, you would be just fine with a small package at your ISP if this describes your type of use. So, fast Internet is not really necessary for someone who just browses websites and does very basic things on the computer. Another thing to take into account, is that high-tech computers that are brand-new and have the most updated processors, graphics cards, and other internal components, are not really necessary if you only browse websites as well. Companies selling you on new computers are not really worth your money, when you could reformat the computer you have and make it run like new all over again.
